Chegamos ao fim!! / We reached the end!!

I finally arrived in Belo Horizonte, where Terra Brasil Turismo is located and where I live. I really miss the trip. The end of the rip was perfect!

On Wednesday morning we went to Angra dos Reis, the last city of the trip, where we took part in an incredible boat adventure through the tropical islands with calm and transparent waters. At night we had our farewell party, with a Luau in front of the beach! Everybody cried a lot!!!

Yesterday early we came back home. All disembarks were ok! I just can say that this trip was fantastic. We worked a lot to make the best trip for the exchange students! I’d like to thank a lot the fantastic coordinators: Clarissa, Babi, Adriana, our chaperones from district 4470 Marlene and Louise and our Doctor who took care of the students a lot!! Cidade Maravilhosa!!! / Wonderfull city!!!

Oioioi!!

Chegamos aqui no domingo à tarde.

After dinner we went back to our hotel to rest and some students were amazed with the view of their rooms: the Corcovado hill with lot of lights, really perfect!!

Monday morning almost everybody went to the Favela Tour (a visit to Rocinha slum): they learned a lot and just loved the tour!! In the afternoon we continued our city tour: We passed by Maracanã (the biggest soccer stadium of Brazil and one of the biggest of the world). In the end of the afternoon we went o Barra da Tijuca, where we had dinner at one of the best restaurants in the city and soon after to the Hard Rock Café, where every one shopped a lot and enjoyed the store and then….PARTY!!! We closed a small part of the Hard Rock Café to make a party with DJ, soda and water included all night long! We danced a lot and went back to the hotel after 2am really tired!!

Porto Seguro!!!

Good morning all!!!

We’re in Porto Seguro, the last city in the northeast region we are going to visit and the first place where the Portuguese arrived in 1500, when they discovered Brazil. We arrived here Thursday night. We had dinner at the hotel and rest!

Yesterday morning we visited a little bar called Axé Moi, a type of kiosk on the beach very famous in Brasil. The exchange students tried to dance Axé music, typical of Porto Seguro. In the afternoon we made a city tour at Cidade Alta, which was the first city of Brazil, exactly where the Portuguese boats arrived. Then we went to Santa Cruz De Cabrália, where the first mess happened. The students learned a lot about here!

At night PARTY! The parties here in Porto Seguro are the most organized: each night there is a 1 party in one of the many clubs, making every party the most full and animated possible. We went to a fantastic place, called Ilha dos Aquários. To get to this party you have to take a boat, since the party was located on an island. Everybody had lots of fun and danced a lot. The island is so big that the exchange students were able to listen to other types of music all over the island from MPB, Forró, Axe, Hip Hop, and even Techno. The entire island was lit up with different colored lights. We returned to the hotel almost 5 am and everyone was extremely tired.

Now we’re going to Vitória, in the state of Espírito Santo, where we’ll stay only for the night because we will be leaving for the expected Rio de Janeiro early the following morning.

Salvador!!

SMILE, you are at Bahia!!! Here we are in Salvador, capital city of Bahia state!

We stayed few days in Salvador, but these days were delicious. We arrived here on Tuesday afternoon, after spending the day at Forte Beach, where we visited TAMAR Project (to protect sea turtles) and its nice village. At night we visited Barra’s lighthouse, one famous postcard of the city and then we went to Mc Donalds to have dinner, and the students were really happy because of this!!

Yesterday, our day was dedicated to this beautiful city. We had a historical tour visiting the most important sites as Senhor do Bonfim Church, Lacerda Elevator, São Francisco de Assis Church and Pelourinho Historical Center.

At night, the students watched a great spectacle, considered by them, one of the best cultural program of the entire trip: the “Bale Folclórico da Bahia”!

In one hour we are going to Porto Seguro, the party and last city of the Northeast, from where we will send more news.
